Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a high‑calibre Financial Controller to lead the finance function of a fast‑growing, multi‑currency global technology group. Reporting to the CFO, you will own the integrity of financial reporting, internal controls and statutory compliance across our portfolio of fintech and marketplace businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end, half‑year and year‑end closing processes and consolidate multi‑currency subsidiaries.
• Prepare statutory financial statements in line with IFRS/AASB and ensure timely ASX filings.
• Own the global audit process, liaise with external auditors and maintain robust internal controls.
• Manage global tax compliance, including GST/VAT, corporate income tax and R&D incentives.
• Drive operational excellence by automating financial systems and workflows.
• Oversee cash flow, intercompany settlements and FX risk management in a high‑volume environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with CA or CPA qualification.
• 8+ years of progressive finance experience, preferably starting in a Big 4 firm.
• Senior reporting or controllership experience in an ASX‑listed or high‑growth tech company.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a global finance team.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of IFRS and AASB standards.
• Expertise in multi‑currency consolidations and international accounting treatments.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial automation tools.
• Strong cash management, treasury and FX risk management capabilities.
• Comprehensive tax compliance and audit management skills.
