Financial Controller – Fintech Expansion

About the role

OnDeck Australia is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join its fast‑growing fintech business. Working closely with the CFO and senior leadership, you will influence performance and decision‑making across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial reporting and month‑end/year‑end close processes.
• Manage treasury, cash‑flow and funding operations.
• Oversee warehouse facilities and securitisation reporting.
• Ensure tax compliance and meet regulatory obligations.
• Maintain financial controls, governance and risk management frameworks.
• Drive process improvement and finance systems enhancements.
• Provide commercial analysis and business support to stakeholders.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing finance team.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualification.
• Strong technical accounting and reporting expertise.
• Experience in financial services, fintech, lending, banking or securitisation environments.
• Hands‑on approach with meticulous attention to detail.
• Commercial acumen and ability to partner with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic setting.
• Leadership capability with a proactive mindset.
