Financial Controller – Finance Governance & Risk

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced and commercially astute Financial Controller to lead financial governance, integrity and compliance across our fast‑paced FMCG business. The role is critical for ensuring accurate financial records, robust control frameworks and high‑quality reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Own and continuously strengthen the internal control environment, ensuring compliance with global and local financial control frameworks.
• Act as the primary contact for risk management and control‑related matters, overseeing identification, monitoring and mitigation of financial and operational risks.
• Co‑lead month‑end and year‑end close processes, delivering timely, accurate financial statements and maintaining general ledger integrity.
• Drive continuous improvement in close and reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Oversee preparation of statutory accounts in line with local regulatory requirements.
• Lead and coordinate external and internal audits, manage auditor relationships and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.

Required profile

• Strong technical accounting experience with a proven track record in financial control, statutory reporting and audit.
• Experience in a dynamic, fast‑paced FMCG environment.
• Commercially minded with the ability to influence and drive governance best practices.
• Senior‑level professional capable of acting as a custodian of financial integrity.
