Financial Controller – ANZ Manufacturing

About the role

Our client, a leading manufacturing organisation operating across Australia and New Zealand, is seeking a Financial Controller to lead the financial integrity and performance of the ANZ group. Reporting to the Group Finance Director, you will partner with senior leaders to drive commercial decision‑making and ensure robust financial governance.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain financial compliance processes, systems and controls across ANZ.
• Own the full financial reporting cycle, including statutory accounts and external audits.
• Prepare consolidated regional financial reports for local and overseas leadership.
• Lead, coach and develop the Financial Accounting and shared services team.
• Manage treasury activities and optimise cash flow.
• Champion ERP improvements and ensure data integrity across systems.
• Oversee tax compliance, transfer pricing and support ESG/non‑financial reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Early career experience in a chartered accounting firm.
• Proven financial controllership experience in a medium‑to‑large industry environment.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to see the bigger strategic picture.
• Excellent communication skills for interpreting and presenting complex information.
• High‑performing senior finance professional who thrives in a fast‑paced culture.
