Financial Controller – ANZ

About the role

The Financial Controller for the ANZ region will ensure the integrity of financial reporting and internal controls across Avanos Medical's Australian and New Zealand entities. This role partners with the International Finance Director and business leaders to deliver accurate financial statements, forecasts, and compliance with local and US accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure financial integrity of results.
• Reconcile all balance‑sheet accounts monthly and conduct periodic balance‑sheet reviews.
• Coordinate statutory records, shareholder requirements, and corporate governance activities.
• Prepare and consolidate financial reports and forecasts in line with US and local accounting standards.
• Manage the monthly close process, including balance‑sheet schedules and finalization.
• Oversee credit control, supporting S&OP processes and reviewing customer credit limits.
• Direct taxation accounting, planning, and reporting to meet local regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate tax audits, SOX compliance, internal audits, and transfer‑pricing documentation.
• Manage cash flow and working capital, minimizing inventory write‑offs.
• Support cost‑analysis processes, forecasting, and policy enforcement.
• Control fixed‑asset accounting and recommend process optimisations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial controllership within a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls, balance‑sheet reconciliation, and financial reporting standards.
• Experience coordinating tax, audit, and SOX compliance activities.
• Ability to manage cash flow, working capital, and credit control functions.
