Financial Analyst / Project Cost Controller

About the role

Boeing Defence Australia is looking for two Financial Analyst/Project Cost Controllers to join its Finance team. The positions support the Currawong Battlespace Communications System Portfolio and the MQ28 programme, with one role based on the Toowoomba site and regular interaction with the Brisbane finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain project budgets and forecasts while building strong relationships with cost account managers.
• Analyse cost and schedule performance, produce variance analysis and provide actionable recommendations.
• Support month‑end activities, including journal entries, reconciliations and required reporting.
• Collaborate with a larger finance team, share information openly and contribute to continuous process improvement.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, liaising with cost account managers and other finance professionals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, commerce or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to work onsite five days a week and travel to Brisbane for training and monthly team meetings.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
