Financial Accounting Manager

About the role

Tronox is seeking an experienced Manager, Financial Accounting to lead the financial accounting function for its Australian operations. The role is responsible for overseeing the general ledger, ensuring robust financial controls and delivering accurate, compliant financial reporting that supports strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the General Ledger and maintain a strong financial controls environment.
• Manage core accounting processes including revenue and cost recognition, accruals, pre‑payments, reconciliations and month‑end close.
• Prepare statutory reports and coordinate external audits, acting as the primary finance contact for PwC Australia.
• Monitor financial metrics and KPIs, identify trends and risks, and provide actionable insights to operational and functional leaders.
• Lead, develop and mentor a high‑performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Drive efficiency through standardisation, harmonisation and automation of accounting processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial accounting management, preferably within a manufacturing or mining environment.
• Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards, statutory reporting requirements and audit processes.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with business leaders and external auditors.
• Leadership experience with a track record of building and developing finance teams.
