Financial Accountant

About the role

Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, you will manage balance sheets, refine accounting processes and support the business with insightful financial analysis. Your primary focus is to meet critical finance deadlines while maintaining data integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Perform bank, credit card and inter‑company loan reconciliations; prepare monthly accruals and weekly payroll journals.
• Assist in preparing accurate management reports, track budget variances and maintain the fixed‑asset register.
• Prepare and lodge monthly BAS returns, assist with FBT returns and ensure all statutory obligations are met.
• Drive process improvements to reduce manual work and increase efficiency.
• Support the annual audit, inventory transactions, stock takes and related reporting.

Required profile

• Strong technical accounting skills with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA/CA qualification.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a continuous‑improvement mindset.
• High work ethic and ability to build strong relationships across business functions.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with modern accounting software.
