About the role
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Financial Accountant will support accurate financial reporting, ensure compliance with standards, and drive process improvements within the finance function.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare financial working papers, management reports and public reports for ASX listed and unlisted investment funds.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and internal policies.
- Support the preparation of board and committee materials.
- Liaise with external auditors and service providers.
- Process accounts payable and assist with investment operation activities.
Required profile
- Approximately 3 years’ experience in a similar financial accounting role or from a Big 4 / mid‑tier accounting firm.
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting; CPA or CA qualification (or working toward) highly regarded.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
- Experience in the wholesale investment and financial services arena is beneficial but not mandatory.
