Financial Accountant – Capex & Fixed Assets

About the role

As a Financial Accountant in the Capex team, you will manage capital expenditure, fixed assets and inventory across Megaport’s global network, ensuring accurate registers and compliance with IFRS standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage capital work in progress through to asset capitalisation upon project completion.
• Maintain fixed asset, intangible asset and inventory registers across multiple regions.
• Partner with stakeholders to track and communicate the status of capital projects.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies for capitalisation, fixed assets and inventory.
• Act as the finance lead for wage capitalisation and prepare asset schedules for reporting.
• Support external audits and address fixed‑asset and inventory queries.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasts and ad‑hoc analysis.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar finance role.
• CPA, CA or equivalent qualification (or studying towards one).
• Strong understanding of IFRS and financial principles in a technology environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics D365 or other large ERP systems.
