Finance Manager – Sydney

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead the finance and accounting function for a property development group based in Sydney. This full‑time position reports to the Directors and the overseas parent company, ensuring accurate financial reporting and strategic financial planning.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily finance operations, monthly, quarterly and annual closing procedures in line with company policies.
• Prepare financial statements and management reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead strategic planning, risk management, budgeting, cash‑flow forecasting and project costing.
• Manage annual audit, group income tax returns and other tax obligations.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and corporate governance requirements.
• Liaise with banks, auditors, solicitors and other external advisors.
• Handle company secretarial duties, including statutory registrations and board support.

Required profile

• CA, CPA or ACCA qualification.
• Minimum 3 years in a senior finance role, preferably as Finance Manager.
• Experience in the property development sector, especially with a China‑based developer.
• Fluent Mandarin with ability to prepare reports in Chinese for the overseas parent.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of GST, income tax and transfer pricing.
• Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting and cash‑flow forecasting.
• Experience with project costing and feasibility studies.
• Hands‑on experience with audits and group tax compliance.
• Company secretarial duties and familiarity with the Corporations Act.
