Finance Manager

About the role

Oscar Hunt, a growing Australian made-to-measure menswear brand with seven showrooms and a newly launched eCommerce business, is looking for a Finance Manager based at its Collingwood head office. You will own the entire finance function across the group, work closely with the General Manager and take part in the key strategic decisions shaping the business's future.

Key responsibilities

• Produce monthly consolidated reporting across group entities, including the balance sheet and commentary on anything tracking off budget
• Run month-end and year-end close, general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
• Manage payables, receivables and payroll, and lead the bookkeeper
• Keep compliance on track: BAS/IAS, PAYG, super, payroll tax, WorkCover and audit
• Own the cash flow forecast and banking relationships
• Track opex by showroom and help each team understand and improve its performance
• Build store models, new concept models and the reporting behind incentives and budgets

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (CA or CPA)
• Solid experience running a finance function end to end, ideally across multiple entities
• Commercial mindset, not just compliance-focused, and close to decision-making
• Strong communication skills, able to explain the numbers to non-finance colleagues
• Pride in getting things right and on time, every time

Required skills

• Confidence in Xero
• Multi-entity consolidation

What we offer

• A key role in a founder-led business at an exciting stage of growth
• The chance to shape and improve how finance runs across the group
• Work from home one day per week
• Staff discount and an annual wardrobe allowance
