Finance Manager

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead the Midwest Financial Management System, oversee the annual budget cycle and provide timely financial performance information for the region. This role holds overall accountability for the financial integrity of the area and supports strategic decision‑making across the health service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Midwest Financial Management System and ensure accurate data processing.
• Coordinate the full budget cycle, from planning through to monitoring and reporting.
• Produce and analyse financial performance reports for senior leadership.
• Maintain compliance with WA Health policies, including integrity and criminal record checks.
• Support financial governance and risk management activities.

Required profile

• Valid working visa for fixed‑term appointments or Australian citizenship/permanent residency for permanent roles.
• Willingness to undergo criminal records, integrity, working‑with‑children checks and a pre‑employment health assessment.
• Demonstrated ethical behaviour and ability to handle confidential financial information.

Required skills

• Experience with a Financial Management System (Midwest).
