Finance Manager – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the financial governance of major infrastructure projects in Australia. Reporting to the Commercial & Finance Director, you will partner with project, commercial and corporate teams to provide strategic insight and ensure compliance across complex, fast‑paced environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management for large‑scale rail and construction projects.
• Oversee month‑end close, balance‑sheet reconciliations and the preparation of statutory and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with AASB/IFRS standards, internal controls and audit requirements.
• Provide financial analysis, feasibility studies and variance reporting to support decision‑making.
• Partner with commercial and construction teams on cost control, claims, variations and accruals.
• Support audits, governance processes and risk‑management activities.
• Maintain and enhance finance systems and reporting tools, including SAP/ERP, Excel and Power BI.
• Lead, mentor and develop finance staff to raise capability and performance.

Required profile

• Degree in Commerce, Finance or Accounting; CPA or CA qualification (or in progress).
• Strong experience in project‑ or construction‑focused finance environments.
• Proven ability in budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management and financial controls.
• Solid knowledge of accounting standards, compliance and audit processes.
• Experience working closely with commercial/contracts teams.
