Finance Lead

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Finance Lead to head financial management, project controls, governance and reporting for large‑scale infrastructure projects. Based in Melbourne’s CBD, you will guide a multidisciplinary team and ensure robust financial discipline throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain best‑practice financial systems, budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow processes.
• Oversee project financing activities, manage lender and investor relationships, and ensure compliance with financing obligations.
• Lead project controls including cost management, scheduling integration, change control, risk management and performance measurement.
• Provide strategic financial advice to senior leadership and influence major commercial decisions.
• Manage audit activities, governance frameworks and statutory, regulatory and corporate reporting requirements.

Required profile

• CPA, CA or equivalent finance qualification with a tertiary degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• Proven senior finance leadership experience in infrastructure, construction, energy, utilities, PPP or similar capital‑intensive projects.
• Strong ability to communicate complex financial information to diverse audiences and influence executive stakeholders.
