Finance Improvement Specialist

About the role

The Finance Improvement Specialist will critically assess current finance systems and processes, identifying opportunities for enhancement, cost savings, and performance improvement. You will support both group and site finance teams, ensuring workflows are accurate, reliable, and compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and implement improvements to finance processes, workflows, and controls enabled by systems.
• Partner with finance stakeholders to understand needs, pain points, and improvement opportunities.
• Document current and future-state processes, system changes, and business rules.
• Support and enhance Power BI dashboards and finance reporting solutions.
• Build strong relationships with finance, IT, vendors, and external partners.
• Ensure system and process changes maintain appropriate financial controls, auditability, and compliance.
• Share knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned across the team.

Required profile

• Analytical mindset with a logical approach to problem solving.
• Experience in systems accounting or as an analyst embedded within a finance team focused on continuous improvement.
• Comfort interacting with stakeholders at all business levels.
• Strong knowledge of financial processes such as close cycle, reconciliations, reporting, AP/AR, and FP&A.

Required skills

• Lean Six Sigma methodology
• Open Database Connectivity (ODBC)
• Proficiency with ERP systems (Pronto, Oracle, SAP, NetSuite)
• Advanced use of Power BI or equivalent data visualisation tools
