Finance Business Partner – Operations

About the role

We are seeking a commercially‑minded Finance Business Partner – Operations to join our finance team in Bairnsdale. Reporting to FP&A, you will partner with operations, commercial and site teams to turn data into actionable insights that drive performance and margin improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly operating performance reports covering sales, margin and site overheads.
• Support budgeting, re‑forecasting and post‑launch cost reviews for commercial and site operations.
• Maintain and review product standard costings and ensure accurate balance‑sheet controls, including fixed assets, stock, accruals and pre‑payments.
• Partner with operational leaders to provide data‑driven insights, analyse financial trends, risks and opportunities, and recommend actions to improve cost, margin and operational outcomes.
• Deliver Pareto analysis to support SKU, product and account management decisions.
• Improve efficiency, reliability and integrity of financial systems and reporting processes, including Costings, LDE, WMS and PowerBI.
• Contribute to the transition to PowerBI reporting and help create a single source of truth for insights.
• Uphold financial governance, internal controls, company policies and audit requirements, and participate in internal audits and post‑capex reviews.
• Champion Zero Harm programs and promote a positive safety culture.

Required profile

• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial data into business actions.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cost analysis.
• Ability to work collaboratively with operations, commercial and site teams.
• Attention to detail and commitment to financial governance and internal controls.
• Willingness to support safety initiatives and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
