Finance Business Partner

About the role

The Finance Business Partner provides high‑level financial advice and support to researchers and project teams across the university. Working within the Finance and Business Services division, the role ensures sound financial management of both external and internal funds while aligning with strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive advice on budgeting, forecasting, reporting and compliance for diverse projects.
• Manage financial operations for external and internal funding streams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to interpret finance‑related policies and procedures.
• Provide timely financial information to project leaders to support decision‑making and regulatory compliance.
• Support university‑wide finance initiatives and work closely with finance practitioners across campuses.

Required profile

• Degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related discipline.
• Experience in financial operations within a complex organisation.
• Advanced proficiency in financial software.
• Progress towards CPA or CA membership is highly regarded.

What we offer

• Salary package of $100,847 – $116,083 per annum plus 17% superannuation.
