Finance Business Analyst (6‑month contract)

About the role

Covetrus is seeking an experienced Finance Business Analyst for a 6‑month contract in Brisbane (Northgate) or Sydney (Erskine Park). The role focuses on analysing finance processes, documenting requirements, supporting system implementations, and ensuring finance transformation initiatives deliver practical business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Document and analyse current‑state finance processes across AP, AR, GL and define future‑state processes aligned with system capabilities.
• Translate business needs into structured use cases for vendors to configure and implement.
• Develop test scenarios, test cases and acceptance criteria, and coordinate User Acceptance Testing.
• Support implementation activities including data validation, process walkthroughs and cut‑over readiness.
• Contribute to Statements of Work with clear scope, assumptions and deliverables.
• Facilitate workshops with Finance, IT and vendors to drive alignment.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or related discipline.
• Proven experience in finance transformation projects covering AP, AR, GL, Fixed Assets, Cash Management or Financial Reporting.
• Strong understanding of finance operations, controls and month‑end processes.
• Experience working with ERP or finance systems such as Microsoft Dynamics GP, Esker or similar.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
