FIFO Excavator Operator – Mining (Goldfields & Pilbara)

About the role

Mineral Resources is seeking experienced Production Excavator Operators to join its iron ore and lithium crews across the Goldfields and Pilbara regions. The role operates on a 2/1 FIFO roster, providing regular home time while contributing to safe, high‑performance mining operations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate large excavators (1900 kW or larger) on hard‑rock mining sites.
• Maintain strict safety standards and adhere to site procedures.
• Collaborate with crew members to achieve production targets.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and report any issues.
• Support site shutdowns and maintenance activities as required.

Required profile

• Demonstrated commitment to safety in all work activities.
• Current Australian C‑Class driver’s licence.
• Experience operating excavators from Hitachi, CAT, Komatsu or Liebherr.
• Hard‑rock mining experience is highly regarded.
• Valid National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to pass pre‑employment medical, drug and alcohol screening.
• Unrestricted Australian work rights.

• Proficiency with Hitachi excavators.
• Proficiency with Caterpillar (CAT) excavators.
• Proficiency with Komatsu excavators.
• Proficiency with Liebherr excavators.
