Field Water Quality Analyst

About the role

Join SGS, a global leader in testing and certification, as a Field Water Quality Analyst. This FIFO position offers hands‑on experience in water quality monitoring across the Pilbara region while working on an 8/6 roster.

Key responsibilities

• Collect water, wastewater, sewage, soil and hygiene samples in line with Australian Standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Conduct field tests and report any anomalies immediately.
• Prepare and submit daily field reports within 24 hours of sampling.
• Coordinate consumables, sampling media and equipment for each job.
• Complete Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and risk assessments as required.

Required profile

• Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science or related field (desirable, not essential).
• Field experience in mining and/or sampling (desirable).
• Strong communication skills, preferably client‑facing.
• C‑class manual driver’s licence (essential).
• 4WD training and Senior First Aid (desirable).
• Willingness to work FIFO on an 8/6 roster.
