Field Technician

About the role

DXC Technology is seeking a Field Technician to provide high‑quality desktop support to users across its Brisbane office. The role involves on‑site assistance, as well as telephone and remote support, and requires a national police check and on‑call availability.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver desktop support to all users, including executives, both on‑site and remotely.
• Set up and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
• Perform routine hardware maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
• Accurately track assets, service requests, and incidents.
• Prioritise new support requests and manage existing work orders.
• Record detailed service notes, time logs, and job documentation.
• Adhere to safety protocols to prevent injuries.
• Complete tasks within assigned time limits.

Required profile

• Basic familiarity with hardware and operating systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional demeanor and strong customer‑service orientation.
• Current Australian driver’s licence.
• Willingness to pass background checks, including a national police check and drug screening.
