Field Supervisor - Telecommunications Operations & Maintenance

About the role

Service Stream is looking for an experienced Field Supervisor to lead a team of nbn technicians across its Operations & Maintenance portfolio in Clayton South, Victoria. The role suits a hands-on telecommunications leader who enjoys working in the field, developing people and keeping the network running, with most of the time spent supporting technicians, managing escalations and meeting network and service KPIs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of telecommunications technicians
• Drive safety through toolbox talks, coaching, field observations and compliance activities
• Manage workforce scheduling, resource allocation and daily operations
• Monitor and report on KPIs, quality outcomes and customer experience measures
• Provide field-based technical support and manage escalations
• Run quality audits so work meets contractual and network standards
• Build relationships with customers, client representatives, local authorities and internal stakeholders
• Identify training opportunities and implement performance improvement initiatives

Required profile

• Demonstrated leadership experience managing field-based teams
• Telecommunications experience, ideally in nbn, fixed line, copper, fibre, maintenance or fault restoration
• Current Team Leader, Senior Technician, Workforce Supervisor or Field Supervisor is welcome
• Ability to coach technicians and manage technical escalations and complex field issues
