Field Supervisor - Telecommunications (NBN)

About the role

Service Stream is seeking an experienced Field Supervisor for its Telecommunications team, supporting the delivery of nbn services across Victoria. This is a hands-on, predominantly field-based leadership role based in Clayton, leading subcontractor crews, driving performance and ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality delivery on a high-profile telecommunications contract.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor field technicians and subcontractor crews
• Coordinate daily field activities to meet productivity, quality and KPI targets
• Conduct field audits and performance reviews to drive continuous improvement
• Support onboarding and development of new technicians
• Manage escalations and resolve field-based operational issues
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and clients
• Deliver toolbox talks and promote a proactive safety culture
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, industry regulations and company standards, and champion the Safety Leadership Model (WALK, TALK, LEAD, CARE)

Required profile

• Proven leader from telecommunications, utilities or civil construction
• Experience supervising telecommunications, civil or field-based delivery crews
• Demonstrated experience managing subcontractors and workforce performance
• Safety-first mindset with a commitment to Zero Harm principles
• Experience coaching, mentoring and developing field teams

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of nbn, network construction, maintenance or service delivery environments
• Experience conducting field audits, quality inspections and compliance checks
• Strong stakeholder management and customer-focused communication
• Ability to make sound decisions and solve problems in a dynamic field environment
• Certificate III in Telecommunications or Civil Construction, or ACM Supervisor qualifications
• Current driver's licence
