Field Supervisor - NBN Field Operations

About the role

Service Stream's Telecommunications division is looking for an experienced Field Supervisor to join its NSW/ACT team on a permanent full-time basis, reporting to the Regional Area Manager and based in the Parramatta office. The role supports the Field Services Manager on the NBN Unify Services contract, supervising subcontractors and internal work crews so that field work at each site is carried out safely and effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, direct, supervise and coordinate the activities of field staff and subcontractors
• Schedule work, staff and equipment to meet production targets
• Ensure field work meets high quality standards and relevant OH&S policies and procedures
• Coordinate and assist in the training of staff and subcontractors
• Liaise with the client and its customers to manage the client's network and plant
• Arrange access with Public Authorities for work in public areas
• Report work status to management and the customer

Required profile

• 5 years of field-based telecommunications experience
• 3 years in NBN field operations (FTTP, FTTC, FTTN, HFC and civils)
• 3 years of supervisory or team management experience
• Previous experience leading NBN and Telstra field operations
• Flexibility and willingness to travel

• White Card (construction industry)
• First Aid certificate (HLTAID003)
• Traffic Management (RIIWHS302DN)
• NBN Enable accepted accreditation
• Understanding of materials, component identification and supply chain flows across technologies
