Field Service Manager

About the role

BTP, part of Beetle Industries and one of Australia's largest suppliers of new and used parts and equipment for hire and sale, is looking for an experienced Field Service Manager to join its WA Field Service team. Reporting to the National Operations Manager, you will lead field service crews across site operations, coordinate labour, support customers, drive team performance and grow the field service footprint and customer base in Western Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate field service teams across multiple sites and projects
• Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company and customer procedures
• Manage daily labour allocation, workflow priorities and operational scheduling
• Support breakdown response and ensure efficient job completion
• Monitor productivity, utilisation and work quality across field operations
• Identify, develop and win new business and grow existing customer accounts
• Build relationships with customers, prospects and internal stakeholders
• Support performance management, mentoring and development of field personnel
• Assist with operational reporting, planning and continuous improvement

Required profile

• Australian recognised trade qualification within a heavy industry environment
• Previous experience in a supervisor, superintendent, manager or similar leadership role
• Exposure to mining, heavy equipment, maintenance or field service operations
• Business development, sales or account management experience, or strong interest in developing these skills
• Strong safety leadership and commitment to compliance
• Ability to manage changing priorities and coordinate multiple work fronts
• Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
• Desirable: exposure to Caterpillar SIS systems and dealer service processes; experience in remote mining operations and FIFO environments
