F&B Attendant / Café All-Rounder

About the role

Royal Canberra Golf Club is seeking enthusiastic, customer-focused F&B Attendants / Café All-Rounders for a part-time position in its hospitality team at its venue in Yarralumla, ACT. The role is central to delivering excellent service to members and guests across the food and beverage operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide attentive, professional service to members and guests in the café and dining areas
• Take accurate orders and serve food and drinks promptly with good presentation
• Clear and reset tables, and operate the café counter serving hot and cold drinks
• Process payments using point-of-sale systems and handle cash accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in line with health and safety regulations
• Resolve member concerns promptly and build positive relationships with regular members
• Support the wider F&B team during busy periods and special events, help with stock rotation and basic food preparation

Required profile

• Previous experience in waiting, café service or hospitality
• Excellent customer service and strong communication skills, able to work in a team
• Reliable and professional, flexible to work part-time shifts including weekends and public holidays
• Food safety and hygiene certification or willingness to obtain it
• Positive attitude under pressure; golf club culture knowledge is an advantage

Required skills

• Barista skills preferred
• Basic numeracy and familiarity with point-of-sale systems (training provided)
