About the role
Little Big Dairy is looking for a full-time Farm Operations Manager in Dubbo, NSW. The manager is the trusted link between the family owners and the farm team, reporting directly to the owners and working closely with them on daily priorities, projects and repairs. The role involves being on the farm every day.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate people and machinery and step in personally when needed
- Oversee work across centre pivot irrigation, bores and pumps, fertiliser spreading, tractors and telehandlers, mixer wagons and feed-out, silage, fencing, welding and repairs, and stock work
- Make sure tasks such as fixing fences, repairing pivots or finishing jobs properly get done; sometimes fix them yourself, more often assign the right person
Required profile
- Practical farming experience
- Leadership and a proactive attitude
- The ability to see what needs doing and to get things sorted
- Dairy experience is valuable but not essential, as the role does not involve routine milking
