External Audit Manager – Commodities Trading

About the role

We are seeking an External Audit Manager to lead audit engagements for commodities trading clients within a leading global professional services firm. Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage external audit engagements for commodities trading companies.
• Ensure audit work complies with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and/or US GAAP/US GAAS.
• Prepare and present comprehensive audit reports to senior stakeholders.
• Coordinate audit planning, execution and timing with client teams.
• Mentor and supervise junior audit staff throughout the engagement.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualifications and completion of a Chartered Accountant qualification or equivalent.
• Approximately 5+ years of experience as an auditor in a comparable public practice environment.
• Extensive external audit experience, preferably within commodities trading companies.
• Qualified CPA (or equivalent) status.

Required skills

• Demonstrated knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Familiarity with US GAAP and US GAAS.
• Strong analytical, communication, project management and report writing abilities.
