Experienced Client Advisor – Accounting

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Client Advisor to join our Melbourne team. The role involves managing a portfolio of accounting clients, providing strategic advice, and mentoring junior staff within a supportive, nationally‑connected firm.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a client portfolio, overseeing relationships, task turnaround and work‑in‑progress.
• Lead or participate in client meetings and conduct analytical reviews to identify opportunities and risks.
• Review and sign off client work, draft advice on financial, taxation and investment matters for partner review.
• Provide technical guidance, training and mentorship to team members.
• Ensure Division 7A compliance and research technical matters to support decision‑making.
• Drive innovation, process improvement and contribute to firm‑wide initiatives.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in a professional accounting firm.
• Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA qualification.
• Strong leadership, collaboration and mentoring mindset.
• Excellent time‑management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
• Proactive approach to client service and business growth.
