Exercise Physiologist (Private Practice)

About the role

MVFit, an established private personal training studio and allied health clinic, is expanding its team and has created a new exercise physiologist position in Melbourne (Ascot Vale and North Western Suburbs). The role is part-time, 12 to 25 hours per week, with the option to grow into a full-time position; successful applicants can start immediately.

Key responsibilities

• Assessments and movement screening, depending on experience and qualification
• Individualised exercise prescription and delivery for a wide range of clients (1:1 and 1:2 sessions)
• Small group classes
• Strength and conditioning programming
• Opportunity to mentor in Clinical Pilates and Women's Health under the Women's Health Physiotherapists
• Liaising with allied health practitioners, GPs and other medical professionals
• Growing and managing a client list

Required profile

• Cert 4 in fitness (minimum), exercise science student, diploma, degree or AEP ESSA accreditation
• Flexible working hours, including evenings and Saturday mornings
• Personable, professional and attentive, able to work independently and solve clinical problems
• Willingness to develop business skills and build a long-term career
• Strong time management, organisation and work ethic
• New graduates are encouraged to apply

Required skills

• Desirable: relevant tertiary qualifications in exercise physiology, physiotherapy or exercise science
• Desirable: clinical Pilates experience
• Desirable: knowledge of strength and conditioning, chronic disease management and rehabilitation

What we offer

• Pay of $36.00 to $72.08 per hour, commission-based sub-contractor position (~$69,000 to $98,000+ including base and OTE commissions)
