About the role

Thiess is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join its Production Mining Team at Iron Bridge. The role offers a $5,000 sign‑on bonus after six months and full‑camp facilities.

Key responsibilities

Operate a Hitachi EX3600 excavator efficiently and safely in a production mining environment.
Excavate to design boundaries, maintain floor levels, minimise dilution and achieve design tolerances.
Load dump trucks, carry out pre‑start checks and uphold high housekeeping standards.

Required profile

Minimum 5 years of mining experience as a production excavator operator.
Proven compliance with health and safety standards and ability to follow Thiess policies.

Required skills

Hitachi EX3600 excavator operation.
Loading dump trucks in a mining production setting.
Knowledge of ore mark‑ups, pit configuration and bench mining techniques.
