Estate Litigation Lawyer – Melbourne

About the role

Join Maurice Blackburn's Wills and Estates team as an Estate Litigation Lawyer. This full‑time, permanent role is based in Melbourne and operates under a hybrid flex‑working model, reporting to the Victorian Estate Litigation Leader.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct initial client conferences and manage files day‑to‑day.
• Prepare briefs for counsel and instruct counsel at mediations and Supreme Court hearings.
• Support the team leader in matter management and achievement of financial and non‑financial KPIs.
• Market the firm’s products and services to new and existing referrers.
• Support and coach the support team.
• Travel domestically on a regular basis to meet clients.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 + years post‑admission experience (PAE) in a litigation environment.
• Excellent technical ability, strong client service focus and passion for helping people.
• Outstanding organisational and multitasking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Leadership capability to guide the wider team.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
