Escalator Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join KONE’s high‑performing Escalator Service team in Adelaide. The role involves servicing and maintaining escalators on a variety of projects across the region and supporting annual elevator checks. Work is primarily after‑hours, including nights and weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance activities and repairs on escalators.
• Respond to escalator breakdowns and carry out emergency repairs.
• Execute all tasks in line with KONE health, quality and safety policies.
• Maintain strong customer relationships within the local area.
• Work flexible start/finish times and be available for after‑hours duties as required.

Required profile

• Registered electrical licence.
• Proven experience with escalators or elevators.
• Valid full Australian driver’s licence.
• Experience managing critical breakdowns and stakeholder expectations.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to manage workload and competing priorities.
• Commitment to safety and quality.
• Customer‑service mindset and strong communication skills.
