Environmental Health & Safety Advisor

About the role

Raytheon Australia is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Advisor to support Australia's Defence mission. You will partner with leaders, employees, customers and contractors to drive best-practice environmental, health and safety outcomes while supporting compliance, risk management and continuous improvement. The role is hybrid, based in McGrath, Western Australia, and offers flexible work arrangements.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including health and safety representatives, workgroups, customer representatives and subcontractors, including deploying a stakeholder management plan.
• Achieve and maintain compliance with the Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Act 2011 and relevant jurisdictional requirements.
• Carry out health and safety assessments such as risk assessments, job safety analysis, ergonomic assessments, manual handling assessments and hazardous substance risk assessments.
• Partner with site leaders and managers to respond proactively to health and safety issues, and investigate incidents to identify causes, corrective actions and improvements.
• Contribute to policies, plans, procedures and processes, including high-quality reporting and records management.
• Promote and coordinate engagement processes to deliver the company's Environment, Health and Safety Plan.
• Travel may be required.

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.
• ICAM Lead Investigator.
• Construction White Card.
• 'C' Class driver's licence.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a baseline security clearance as needed.
