Enterprise Architect

About the role

Vault Cloud is seeking an Enterprise Architect to lead the Design Authority and ensure architectural integrity across its sovereign cloud platform. The role can be based in Canberra or Sydney and focuses on building a resilient, secure technology footprint for critical workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Define guardrails, reference architectures and foundational patterns for cloud, micro‑services and security.
• Own macro‑portfolio view of applications, drive lifecycle assessments and modernisation initiatives.
• Conduct assurance reviews at critical gates to meet enterprise blueprints and strict non‑functional requirements.
• Steer the Architecture Review Board, translating business strategy into actionable technical blueprints.
• Provide hands‑on advisory support during discovery phases and resolve architectural bottlenecks.
• Mentor solution architects and senior engineers to build cross‑team alignment.

Required profile

• Australian citizenship with ability to obtain a government security clearance.
• Extensive senior enterprise or solutions architecture experience, especially in infrastructure or network architecture.
• Proven track record in high‑security, mission‑critical environments.
• Advanced fluency in infrastructure, networks and security design.
• Ability to adapt frameworks such as TOGAF, NIST or SABSA to sovereign, regulated contexts.
• Practical exposure to compliance frameworks like ISM, IRAP or ISO.
