Enrolled Nurse (NG3) - Discharge Transit Centre

About the role

The Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital is seeking an Enrolled Nurse (NG3) to join the Discharge Transit Centre (DTC) team. The role works with multidisciplinary teams to support patient flow and deliver safe, person-centred care to patients moving between hospital services and the community. It is a permanent part-time position based in Brisbane North.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the nursing assessment and care of individuals and groups by practising within the scope of practice of an enrolled nurse.
• Implement aspects of the nursing care plan delegated by the registered nurse or midwife.
• Provide information on progress towards expected outcomes.
• Respond to and report sudden changes in a patient's health status to the registered nurse or midwife.
• Support an evidence-based learning environment and take part in learning activities for themselves and colleagues.

Required profile

• Compassionate and motivated enrolled nurse.
• Ability to carry out the accountabilities listed above in line with Metro North Health's values.
