Enrolled Nurse

About the role

Mallee Track Health and Community Service is recruiting an Enrolled Nurse (reference PD22) in Sea Lake, Victoria. The nurse delivers nursing care using a problem-solving approach, collaborates with the multidisciplinary healthcare team and reports directly to the Registered Nurse. The position is full-time or part-time and sits within the Nursing department.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a high standard of clinical care to patients and residents as delegated by the Registered Nurse, in line with nursing services policies and the organisation's objectives.
• Take part in admission and ongoing assessments to build a comprehensive history and identify care needs.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation that supports care delivery and funding validity.
• Contribute to care plans, implement care in consultation with patients, families and the care team, and help evaluate care plans as needs change.
• Inform the supervisor, families, doctors and allied health professionals about changes in patients' health status.
• Keep sound records, take part in formulating and reviewing nursing procedures, and carry out other duties as directed.

Required profile

• Current registration with AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse.
• Experience in a healthcare setting, with older people and with chronic illness.
• Proven ability to apply high ethical standards and represent the employer professionally.
• Current Victorian driver's licence and police check; a Working With Children Check is required for nominated positions.
• Desirable: understanding of accreditation/certification processes and a commitment to working with the elderly.
