Enrolled Nurse – Inpatient Mental Health

About the role

Deliver safe, person‑centred nursing care in a 32‑bed adult inpatient mental health facility at Rockhampton Hospital, working closely with registered nurses and a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the RN.
• Contribute to care planning and support clinical decision‑making.
• Build therapeutic relationships and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members.

Required profile

• AHPRA‑registered Enrolled Nurse with experience caring for people with serious mental illness.
• Ability to work independently, navigate complex situations and apply the Queensland Mental Health Act 2016.
• Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to quality improvement and safe practice.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the Queensland Mental Health Act 2016 and national mental health standards.
• Ability to use evidence‑based practice in mental health nursing.
