About the role

Byford Secondary College is seeking a highly skilled and motivated English Teacher to join its secondary team. The role involves delivering the Western Australian English curriculum to Years 7‑12, including ATAR courses, and contributing to a culture of excellence in teaching and learning.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the Western Australian English curriculum to Years 7‑12, including ATAR courses.
• Contribute actively to the English Learning Area, using high‑impact learning strategies and differentiating instruction for diverse learners.
• Implement innovative approaches to improve outcomes for both high‑ and low‑achieving students.
• Build positive relationships with students and support their post‑school aspirations.

Required profile

• Hold a recognised teaching qualification, be registered and meet eligibility criteria (citizenship/visa, Working with Children Check, criminal history clearance).
• Demonstrated knowledge of the WA English curriculum and experience teaching senior secondary (ATAR) courses.
• Reflective practitioner committed to professional growth and collaborative contribution to the English Learning Area.
