The advertised salary is $76,689 to $124,725 plus super, with about $14,000 in additional allowances in the first year.

Key responsibilities

• Teach English across the secondary years, delivering engaging lessons aligned with the Australian Curriculum and Queensland senior secondary requirements.
• Develop learning programs, assessments and classroom resources.
• Maintain high standards of student safeguarding, wellbeing and classroom practice.
• Monitor student progress and give meaningful feedback.
• Communicate with students, families and colleagues about learning, assessment and progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, assessment and moderation.

Required profile

• Qualified and confident in teaching English across the secondary years.
• Teacher registration with the Queensland College of Teachers, or eligibility to obtain it.
• Appropriate Australian working rights.
• Two current referees and completion of the school's safeguarding onboarding.
