Employment Consultant – Workforce Australia Program

About the role

As an Employment Consultant you will work within APM’s Workforce Australia program at the Bunbury site, helping participants prepare for, secure and sustain meaningful employment. You will act as a bridge between job seekers and inclusive employers, delivering tailored support and advocacy.

Key responsibilities

• Identify suitable job matches and guide participants through the application and interview process.
• Boost participants’ confidence by highlighting strengths and addressing barriers.
• Develop creative solutions to employment challenges and ensure participants have the tools they need.
• Advocate for inclusive hiring practices and workplace adjustments.
• Build and maintain partnerships with employers committed to diversity and inclusion.
• Celebrate successful placements and track outcomes.

Required profile

• A champion of diversity and inclusion, believing everyone deserves a chance to succeed.
• A natural connector comfortable engaging with participants and stakeholders.
• Innovative and solutions‑focused, viewing challenges as opportunities.
• Compassionate and empathetic, committed to making a lasting positive impact.
• Experience in sales, retail, call‑centre, hospitality, consulting, business development or administration is advantageous.
