Employment Consultant

About the role

We are looking for an Employment Consultant to join our Burnie, Tasmania site within the Inclusive Employment Australia Program. In this role you will support people with disability to prepare for, secure and sustain meaningful employment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist participants with disability in preparing for, finding and maintaining sustainable employment.
• Boost participants’ confidence by highlighting strengths and helping overcome obstacles.
• Develop creative solutions to employment challenges and provide necessary tools and support.
• Advocate for inclusive hiring practices and workplace adjustments.
• Celebrate successful placements and recognise participants’ achievements.
• Build and maintain partnerships with employers committed to diversity and inclusion.

Required profile

• Passionate champion of diversity and inclusion.
• Natural connector who can create opportunities and engage stakeholders confidently.
• Innovative, solutions‑focused mindset with experience creating pathways to success.
• Compassionate and empathetic, driven to make a positive impact.
• Relevant experience in sales, retail, call centre, hospitality, consulting, business development or administration is advantageous.
