Employee Relations Representative

About the role

The Employee Relations Representative will support the Eva Copper Mine project in Cloncurry, Queensland, by monitoring daily work practices, advising management on labour issues, and fostering positive workplace relationships. This role contributes to compliance with labour laws and the project's environmental, safety and health standards while operating on a 2:1 FIFO roster.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily work practices on the field project and report observed or anticipated labour problems to supervisors.
• Support staffing plans, wage‑trend studies, and the development and presentation of craft training and orientation programmes.
• Facilitate communication between workers and management to ensure a collaborative work environment.
• Ensure compliance with Australian labour legislation, as well as project‑specific environmental, safety and health requirements.
• Contribute to the development of workforce services strategies and industrial‑relations communication systems.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support effective workforce management on an industrial construction site.

Required profile

• Understanding of Australian labour laws and ability to ensure compliance.
• Experience in monitoring field operations and identifying potential labour issues.
• Strong communication skills to facilitate dialogue between staff and management.
• Willingness to work on a 2:1 FIFO roster in Cloncurry, QLD.
• Commitment to adhering to project environmental, safety and health philosophies.
