Emergency Veterinarian

About the role

Greencross Pet Wellness Company is seeking an experienced Emergency Veterinarian to join its AEC Mount Waverley centre. You will work in a fast‑paced, varied environment handling critical cases and supporting pet owners during emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Stabilise emergency cases such as GDV and provide critical care throughout the shift.
• Guide pet owners through urgent situations, offering clear communication and compassionate support.
• Collaborate with senior clinicians and participate in case discussions and mentorship.

Required profile

• Veterinary degree registrable in Victoria.
• ECC experience or at least two years of GP experience with a strong interest in emergency medicine.
• Calm demeanor, kind heart and excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to work a mix of day, night and weekend shifts.

Required skills

• Emergency clinical skills, including GDV stabilisation.
• Ability to work under pressure and make rapid decisions.
