Emergency Registered Nurse - Tennant Creek

About the role

MARS Healthcare is recruiting an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a 12-week contract at Tennant Creek Hospital in the Northern Territory, with an ASAP start date. The nurse provides emergency care to a regional and remote community on a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays, with Christmas and New Year coverage highly desirable.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum 3 years' acute Emergency Department experience
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Confidence working in a regional or remote hospital environment
• Diphtheria vaccination (Boostrix/Adacel) within the past 5 years, or willingness to obtain it before starting
• Ability to meet NT Health compliance requirements

Required skills

• Advanced Life Support (ALS) competency
• Resuscitation and emergency management skills
• Triage certificate and demonstrated triage competency
• Non-invasive ventilation (NIV) competency
