Electronic Instructor

About the role

CAE's Navy Defence team is hiring an Electronic Instructor to deliver technical training that prepares Defence personnel for critical operations. The role is hands-on, using trade and technical expertise in classroom, simulator and blended learning settings. Prior Navy experience is highly regarded, but candidates from broader Defence and trade backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver instructor-led, blended and simulator-based training programs for Defence personnel
• Prepare, facilitate, assess and complete post-course administration activities
• Monitor trainee progress and provide feedback to support their development
• Maintain and improve training materials and course content using technical expertise
• Work closely with Defence customers to ensure high-quality training outcomes

Required profile

• Trade qualification in an electrical, electronics or related technical discipline
• Previous Navy experience highly regarded, ideally within the Royal Australian Navy
• Defence, military or technical training experience preferred
• Eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance, which requires Australian citizenship
• Cert IV Training and Assessment (TAE40116/TAE40122) or willingness to obtain it

Preferred qualifications

• Navy technical instructor experience
• Experience delivering training in a Defence environment
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Background working with electrical or electronic systems
