Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) – Offshore Marine Role

About the role

DOF is seeking experienced Electro‑Technical Officers to join its offshore marine team. The role involves maintaining and operating electrical and electronic systems on specialised vessels operating in Australian waters and occasionally internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and administer all electrical, electronic installations, machinery automation, DP and navigation systems, as well as communication and network systems.
• Ensure electronic equipment is compatible with vessel electrical supplies and complies with regulations.
• Manage detailed maintenance logs for all equipment.

Required profile

• Electro‑Technical Officer certificate of competency (STCW regulation III/6) with at least two years offshore experience.
• Current Australian electrical licence and AMSA or Norwegian medical certification.
• Valid BOSIET, CAEBS and preferably MIST, with DP‑KPOS certification highly desirable.
• Australian work rights and ability to travel at short notice.
