Electrical Maintenance Technician – High Voltage (Mining)

About the role

We are seeking skilled High Voltage Electricians to join our Mobile and Breakdown Maintenance Teams at Bengalla Mining’s open‑cut coal operation in Muswellbrook. The role involves maintaining and repairing heavy mining equipment, ensuring reliability and safety across our fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, fault‑find and eliminate defects on heavy mining equipment in a dynamic breakdown environment.
• Diagnose, repair and perform routine servicing of equipment and plant.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance, statutory electrical testing and electrical installations.
• Maintain high standards of work to ensure fleet reliability.
• Assist in developing and improving maintenance strategies.
• Comply with Bengalla’s Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.
• Collaborate with planning, reliability and engineering teams.

Required profile

• Electrical Trade Qualification.
• High Voltage Switching accreditation or willingness to obtain it.
• Demonstrated experience maintaining heavy mining equipment (e.g., Hitachi, Caterpillar, Komatsu).
• Strong service background with proven experience.
• Excellent communication and computer skills.
