Electrical Designer / REVIT Modeller

About the role

Egis is seeking an Electrical Designer / REVIT Modeller to join its Distribution Design team in Melbourne. You will develop detailed designs and 3D models for indoor and kiosk substations within the energy sector.

Key responsibilities

• Produce detailed design, drafting and 3D models for 11kV/22kV distribution substations using Autodesk REVIT and AutoCAD.
• Prepare high‑quality construction drawings, layouts, elevations and sections in line with client and utility standards.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects and civil designers to integrate project components.
• Support utility approval packages and ensure compliance with Australian and Victorian standards.
• Assist with cost estimates, material schedules and provide technical support during construction and commissioning.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in electrical drafting, design or REVIT modelling for utility or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of Victorian electricity utility standards (e.g., CitiPower, Powercor, AusNet, Jemena, United Energy).
• Familiarity with substation layouts, earthing systems and cable containment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Autodesk REVIT.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
